Parachute Egg Drop (Grades 2, 3, 4, & 5) Special Event: You don't need to be present to win!

If you cannot make it to the event, please give your parachute to Mrs. Vitale by Friday, April 20. Label your parachute with your name.

Students may work alone or with a partner to build a parachute out of recycled materials at home. Bring your parachute to the competition, and we will attach an egg to the base of your strings. The parachute will be dropped a height of approximately 20 feet. The egg that lands closest to the target without breaking wins!

Note: The measurement of the full parachute with strings attached may not be taller than 6 feet. Make your parachute out of any material, but it must be homemade by the students. No purchased parachutes allowed!
